Uniform expectations

I started this week resolved to ‘raise standards’. I believe that school uniform has a part to play in this effort. If we have a policy in place, we need to uphold it. That’s what maintaining standards is about.

I spoke to a couple of children about their jumpers, pointing out that they were not uniform. I also spoke to a child about their footwear. At the time I didn’t think any more about it. However, today mum came to see me about the issue.

Very rightly, mum pointed out that there has been no recent uniform policy shared with parents.

If I want to uphold a standard, I need to make sure I have communicated that standard!
