School improvement, Coe (2009)

Strategies for improvement should meet 3 criteria;

  1. Approach must be well-defined
  2. Approach must be feasible (fit within school life)
  3. Approach must have been evaluated

Changes are required;

  1. A cultural change to the value of evaluation
  2. Greater awareness of the threats to validity of evaluation
  3. more attention to outcomes
