I have been challenged recently to consider the behaviour management arrangements in one of my schools. Class teachers are moaning that the system does not work.
I composed a proposal and asked for feedback from teachers. It was helpful but neither my proposal nor feedback addressed the main issue – culture.
I was then reminded about a book – When the adult changes, everything changes – so ordered myself a copy.
It is brilliant! There is so much common sense contained within the pages. We need to enact the suggestions in our school. But how?
Firstly, I will order everyone (all staff) a copy of the book.
Secondly, I will plan an inset day exploring the core suggestions.
Thirdly, I will try to engage with the authors to support our developments.
